At UC Davis, she was very involved in community service projects and joined Asante Africa Foundation to continue volunteering outside of college and to help others receive the same opportunities in Education that she received. She is the Youth Programs Manager for Asante Africa and assists all schools with fundraising ideas and the tools they need to donate to Asante Africa Foundation. Maryanne Marubu is a Kenyan woman from the city of Nairobi and serves as the Youth In Action Coordinator for Asante Africa Foundation. She graduated from California State University East Bay in International Studies with a minor in

Business Administration. She is passionate about international affairs and loves working at Asante Africa Foundation where her work is supporting underprivileged children back in her home country. She loves adventure, meeting people from all over the world and sampling new food. Her quest for adventure led her to a safari trip at the Masai Mara and sky diving. IMG_4948Maisa Morrar is from the San Francisco Bay Area, She is a graduate from Saint Mary’s College of California where she received her BA degree in Kinesiology. Though her passion is in medicine her heart is in public health and making sure that people of undeserved communities get equal rights. She is the Youth Programs Manager for Asante Africa and assits all schools with fundraising ideas and the tools they need to donate to Asante. She is passionate about working with the children of the world and believes that everyone deserves an education no matter where they live.
